Mahana Art Gallery and Sculpture Park set in the scenic Mahana vineyard.

The gallery, located inside the Mahana Cellar Door, is where visitors will find a range of shows each year, featuring selected works from Glenn Schaeffer’s private art collection exhibited along with artworks in all media from New Zealand and international artists.

Throughout Mahana Estates, we feature a number of installations throughout the property. Guests can visit a number of installed sculptures and artworks. Sculptures which can be visited within the winery grounds include Marté Szirmay’s magnificent ‘Yantra for Mahana’, which stands over seven metres tall at the winery entrance, and Andrew Drummond’s ‘Cascade’ on the courtyard outside the tasting room.

Visible from the courtyard are the striking ‘Vertical Spinning Form’, also by Andrew Drummond, and Christine Boswijk’s ‘Totems for a Vineyard’, which form part of Glenn Schaeffer’s art collection at Mahana Villa. Inside The Cellars on the ground floor of the winery (available to view by appointment) are Bill Culbert’s neon installation Seven Cs and Neil Dawson’s ‘Mahana Dome’. Also in The Cellars are two superb tapestries by American artist Ed Moses, and four pieces by Auckland painter Noel Ivanoff.
